SW: What three words best describe you?
Allison: Enthusiastic, loyal, caring

SW: What is your favorite part of being a bridal designer?
Allison: Designing! I love being creative and coming up with new gown ideas. There is nothing like seeing your vision come to life.

SW: What things inspire you while creating your designs?
Allison: I often look to architecture, abstract expressionist art, and flowers for inspiration. Architecture and interior design elements inspire sculptural shapes and help provide the starting point for draping ideas. Artists like Mark Rothko provide a lot of color inspiration, and I draw upon natural flowers for floral embellishment and embroidery ideas.

Both Full Spectrum Photography and Boffo Video were engulfed by the details of the space bringing out the unadulterated splendor. Love Anne Joy Design + Events handled both the planning and florals and brought on a team of California-based creatives that understood how to marry both timeless and contemporary details. Perfectly executed they feature both the venue and the elements of the shoot in a way that makes the space easily identifiable and allows for couples to imagine themselves in this luxurious venue. High-end flowers were used to create a floral garland as well as several other centerpieces. A simple addition of rentals such as the upholstered chairs, a wooden guest table, and marble sweetheart and cake tables from Sweet Salvage adorned by tableware from Cherished Rentals fashion the ultimate guest place setting. Complimenting those elements are Luxe Linen finest napkins and linen. This couple was dressed to the nines, with the groom in a class black tux from Stitch and Tie and the bride wearing a Karen Willis Holmes bridal gown from The Blushing Bird. With February just around the corner, we’re all getting a little giddy at Strictly Weddings. When we saw how this team transformed the chic loft style backdrop of Suite Q Studio into a quintessential ode to V-Day, well – say no more!  The floating heart ceremony backdrop is the perfect opening to this chic, romantic – literally drenched in love Valentine’s Day wedding inspo. Each heart was hand cut by Kelley Williams Photography and it adds just the right touch of whimsy. Stardust Vintage Rentals created pure magic with the lounge space and all the special touches of the day. For instance, combining an antique 1800’s pink silk tufted love seat with a 1940’s black metal hand painted coffee table and vintage Turkish rugs. It’s a stylish mix of soft textures and unique patterns that made the space look elegant and feminine. To draw further vintage inspiration, the sweetheart tablecloth was a thrifted find from a local shop and the 3-legged wooden chairs with heart cut out backs are handmade antiques from the 1700s. Those antique elements are seamlessly combined with unique colored glassware for the table settings. Then you get to the bridal style where not only does the bride standout in a Blush by Hayley Paige stunner covered in detailed flowers, but also Erica Freestone’s handmade wedding rings and statement necklace. All the pieces are one of a kind and made locally in Monterey. The three gorgeous cakes made by cake designer Alicia Valadez  of Oh So Sweet, perfectly symbolize a great Valentine’s Day; the drip cake is sexy, the glitter cake is whimsical, and the semi-naked cake… well you can guess that one for yourself.

The talented team did a fabulous job highlighting the beauty and light of this gorgeous home and its manicured grounds. Rentals of Rustic Drift added just the right touch to this estate while keeping with the vintage theme. The patterned china and purple glassware enhanced the time-period of the venue while the colors of the florals create an abundance of charm. The lilac and blush color palette exquisitely complimented the scene with oh-so-sweet accents that natural bring out the color and beauty that this estate had to offer. Add to that a bride who both channels an elegant and airy style – and voila an ethereal stunner. The flow of her gown and the setting of her hair created a romantic yet relaxed look with just a hint of greenery added to her updo to blend with the greenery surrounding her. As if she were a girl of the English countryside. Let’s start by talking about Villa di Geggiano. Originally built in the 14th century, this Tuscany venue with its gardens, décor and ambience is exquisite. The careful renovation and restoration of the venue more than spellbinding.  breathtaking. Imagine the history, beautiful frescos, ancient cypress trees, romantic gardens surrounding you and there is no one else there, just the two of you living in the moment. The bride gets ready upstairs with artist Cherie Spisso doing hair and make-up as she prepares to step out wearing an Ines Di Santo dress that is to die for, called “Mimi.” To complete her look, she wears some contemporary pieces created by Monica Coscioni owner and designer at Spazio Manassei in Rome and Orvieto. Meanwhile, the groom is getting ready in his contemporary suite at the Villa. Giuseppe Rossi from Blessings from Italy is waiting in the chapel located on the villa grounds to celebrate this union. They are visibly emotional and extremely happy at the same time. For their private reception, the table, as well as the ceremony, has been beautifully decorated by Stiatti Fiori, a combination of “artists” works to make this setup the most romantic and at the same time appropriate. The colors and items selected blend in harmony with the frescoes. The contemporary artist Sofia Rocchetti designed and produced by hand the bride and groom’s chairs and tablecloth, Preludio Noleggi provided the beautiful crystal chandelier and dinner set while Monica Tallone designed and made by hand the bride and groom signs and menus. The couple playfully enjoys a tender moment and a few steps of a first dance before they sit for their beautiful romantic candlelit dinner. Villa di Geggiano serves a lavish menu, their own delicious wines accompany the gourmet food. Springtime Blush Wedding Elegance

The vision was to create a dreamy and stylish editorial with a swoon-worthy color palette of peach, blush pink, cream and silver in the Grand Ballroom at of this resort in Vancouver. The floor to ceiling windows and stunning chandeliers teamed with the soft peach and cream hues create a feeling of timeless elegance. The beautiful tablescape, styled by Infinity Luxury Linens and Decor, featured a blush satin linen with vintage lace overlay, topped with multiple floral arrangements in mercury silver glass vases. Matching blush chiffon chair sashes were used to add a whimsical vibe. With the romantic theme, the floral designer, Esu Floral, used a mix of different roses in soft pink, peach and blush, to complete the overall look. To further create an angelic feel to this session, individual paper flowers from Making Memories with Scrapbooking were used on the windows while bringing out a whimsical effect. A glamorous and elegant look by ACmakeup was chosen as timeless look that complimented the body jewelry and hairpiece styled by The Borrowed Collection. Wearing a gorgeous Pronovias “Mildred” dress from Clara Couture – an original dress in draped tulle with a sweetheart neckline, tulle frills and nylon ribbons she is utterly show-stopping. With the use of a clean calligraphy style script and other subtle details, Maurelle Calligraphy created a custom stationary set that complimented the tablescape perfectly. Kitty Wong Pastry Shop’s contribution was a stunning three-tier cake with delicate blush-toned rice paper flowers.
